Four tiers, one published rate sheet

Pick the highest tier you need and everything below it comes along. Scanning is priced per square foot, with modeling and drawings as per-square-foot add-ons.

Tier 1: Existing-Condition Scan
Accessible agreed areas; processed point cloud, basic cleanup, alignment, quality checks, and coverage limitations.

Where small projects start

Setup, travel, registration, and quality checks don’t scale down with the building, so each tier has a minimum — and because the tiers are cumulative, so are the minimums. A project starts at $2,500 for Tier 1, $5,500 through Tier 2, and $10,500 through Tier 3, before area is counted.

Below roughly 10,000 – 21,000 sq. ft., depending on how congested the area is, the minimum sets the price rather than the rate. Above it the published rates take over. The estimator below shows which is which on your own numbers.

Modeling minimums are additional fees. Process-modeling rates apply only to the agreed process area. Drawing packages are priced per square foot of billable area, by how densely equipped it is.

Hourly & field rates

Design support, travel and added field work

Work beyond a scan package, such as industrial drafting, mechanical design and technical documentation, is billed hourly from the professional fee schedule. Field additions follow the policies here.

Terms & hours

Standard terms from the 2026 professional fee schedule. The written proposal confirms them for each project.

Billing: Services and expenses are invoiced monthly, due Net 30 from the invoice date.
Notice: We request five working days’ notice before the start date.
Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm Central Time, Monday – Friday; Excluding holidays
Travel for hourly work: Travel outside the Kansas City metro is billed at straight time. Lodging, meals, and specialized rentals are billed at actual cost.; Scan packages follow the mobilization policy under Travel & additional services.
Insurance: Standard contractor liability and workers’ compensation coverage is included for Davis Design Group employees. Special insurance, permits, and certificates, if required, are billed as extra.
